Breastfeeding Room Description The nursing room at University of Hawaii Manoa is exclusively intended for moms, attending, working, or affiliated with the university system. There's a chair, a small table, and an electric outlet. Moms must reserve the nursing room ahead of time online at the url below: http://uhmlibrary.libcal.com/booking/lactation Their policy for nursing room use is as follow: 1. Any nursing mothers who are affiliated with any institutions belonging to the University of Hawaii System can use this room. 2. The Lactation Room can be booked in 30-minute increments for up to 60 minutes per booking. Users are limited to two 60-minute bookings per day. 3. The booking system will communicate with the users using @hawaii.edu email address. Booking should be confirmed within 3o minutes to secure the room. | ||

1:(r)An employer shall provide—
(A) a reasonable break time for an employee to express breast milk for her nursing child for 1 year after the child’s birth each time such employee has need to express the milk; and
(B) a place, other than a bathroom, that is shielded from view and free from intrusion from coworkers and the public, which may be used by an employee to express breast milk.
2: An employer shall not be required to compensate an employee receiving reasonable break time under paragraph (1) for any work time spent for such purpose.
3: An employer that employs less than 50 employees shall not be subject to the requirements of this subsection, if such requirements would impose an undue hardship by causing the employer significant difficulty or expense when considered in relation to the size, financial resources, nature, or structure of the employer’s business.
