The downtown branch of the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department is equipped with a lactation center for its female employees who choose to breastfeed their infants while working.

The center has two nursing mothers stations, each equipped with a comfortable padded rocking chair, a hospital-grade breast pump, a refrigerator where moms can store brestmilk, and a privacy curtain to shield nursing moms from each other if they so desire.

The lactation room is very homely and cozy.
