Defense Supply Center in Columbus Ohio opened a Lactation Room for nursing mothers' comfort and convenience when visiting or working in the facility. The new room came about after officials saw a need to accommodate more mothers and the mothers had been asking for more time. The new lactation room is Room A138 and is located on the first floor just down the hall from the old one. The new room has three private stalls and each of them three has a slide lock, comfortable chair, outlet and countertop. The room itself has a door requiring a key for entry, ensuring privacy for the mothers. There is also a microwave and refrigerator for storage of expressed milk. Since there are now three stalls, this allows for 30 minute time slots
Note: Report mom-shaming or harassment while nursing in public or near lactation rooms (breastfeeding rooms), at Moms Pump Here mobile site https://www.momspumphere.com #bfus |
