Description: |
Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE) a non-profit located in offices on Fore Street in Portland, Maine has a small, private nursing mothers room with comfortable chairs and a refrigerator, where employees can go to express milk during the work day. “Most of our employees have three months leave and return to work, and the question is, where are they going to go to pump,” Steve Trooboff said. “It can be really awkward.” Trooboff said the room is well-used, since a majority of his employees are woman in their 20s and 30s. He said there are usually four or five births a year. CIEE BUSINESS HOURS: 9 A.M.-5 P.M. Note: State of Maine legally protects a nursing mothers right to breastfeed whenever and wherever she is legally allowed to be. Nursing rooms in Maine like other breastfeeding friendly states are convenient but also optional. Note: Report mom-shaming or harassment while nursing in public or near lactation rooms (breastfeeding rooms), at Moms Pump Here mobile site https://www.momspumphere.com #bfus |
