About Moms Pump Here

NY1 TV Shannan Ferry Interview Priya of MomsPumpHere App 2.0

Priya interviews with NY1 TV news reporter Shannan Ferry about the MomsPumpHere Nursing Room Locator App. Debuts version 2.0 the worlds biggest app for breastfeeding and breastpumping moms on the go.

Note: MomsPumpHere support a mother's right to breastfeed anywhere in public without harassment or discrimination.

MomsPumpHere with over 5000 nursing mothers rooms (lactation rooms) listed in the US and globally is the world's biggest, most popular, and trusted nursing room locator app and community website for nursing moms. Conceived in 2012 by nursing moms and mompreneurs Priya Nembhard and Kim Harrison, the website version was launched in New York City and Miami simultaneously.

Our goal?  Help breastfeeding and breastpumping moms on-the-go find clean, safe nursing mom-friendly places to breastfeed their babies or breastpump milk for later use.

Where are we now? By 2015 Moms Pump Here officially launched on Apple iTunes and Google Play store becoming both a popular breastfeeding baby app and surging mom community website in seven countries including the United States and Canada. Frustrated nursing moms everywhere immediately showed support by helping the MPH brand grow enormously on social media.

Moms Pump Here is Community-Driven: Our app, website and social media platforms help traveling moms Find, Rate, and Share nursing mom-friendly places to express breastmilk (includes stores and shopping malls, airports, parks and recreational arens, theaters and convention centers, schools, museums, work places, hotels, government facilities, colleges and universities, hospitals and health and many more). Every day new moms join our community and share new places to nurse with other moms everywhere. This means our locations are vetted by moms, and revetted by us for safety once they appear on the app. We answer the question, Can I breastfeed or breastpump here?

What Else Do We Do: Moms Pump Here is also a huge mom community. As such we receive a lot of feedback from moms requesting improvements and additions to our service.

  1. In response we now provide multiple platforms to answer nursing mom and parenting questions submitted through our website and social media channels.

  2. We offer monthly sponsored giveaways from partnerships formed with brands moms love.

Quick Fact:
Over 4 million babies are born a year in the US and 75% of those moms breastfeed and breastpump for up to 2 years. So at any given time we're servicing about 8 million moms. Childbirth, breastpumping, and breastfeeding is never-ending so our demographic is huge and our service never ends.

We have a network of nursing mothers rooms, and moms like you, who have breastfed and breastpumped away from home and rated their nursing spots so we all can learn the safe, comfortable places to make milk for our little ones when we can’t be with them.

MomsPumpHere find and help answer these questions that you won’t find being asked anywhere else – and they’re answered by moms like you!

About Cofounders Priya and Kim: Kim and I aren't just work from home moms, we were diehard breastfeeders and brestpumpers too. Nursing moms don't always have the luxury to breastfeed or breastpump whenever or whereever they want. MomsPumpHere solves this problem by connecting moms to the closest nursing mothers rooms on nearby. At the touch of your tablet or smartphone app, we connect you to our vast list of public or private nursing friendly places in the United States, Canada, and US international Territories like Guam, Puerto Rico, and US Virgin Islands. Simply use the Nursing Room Locator's GPS and detailed search feature. That's it!

There's also a check-in feature, don't worry, no one knows where you're breastpumping or feeding when you checkin, only those you choose to let know from the mobile website version of the app. Watch our videos on your app to learn more about how it works and your Safety and Privacy with MomsPumpHere.
