About Moms Pump Here

NY1 TV Shannan Ferry Interview Priya of MomsPumpHere App 2.0

Priya interviews with NY1 TV news reporter Shannan Ferry about the MomsPumpHere Nursing Room Locator App. Debuts version 2.0 the worlds biggest app for breastfeeding and breastpumping moms on the go.

Note: Moms Pump Here supports a mother's right to breastfeed anywhere in public without harassment or discrimination.

Moms Pump Here is a Health and Wellness Company for Nursing Moms

Moms Pump Here with over 5000 nursing mothers rooms (lactation rooms) listed in the US and globally is the world's biggest, most popular, and trusted nursing room locator app and community website for nursing moms. Conceived in 2012 by nursing moms and mompreneurs Priya Nembhard and Kim Harrison, the website version was launched in New York City and Miami simultaneously.

Our goal?  Help breastfeeding and breastpumping moms!

Where are we now? By 2015 Moms Pump Here officially launched the Moms Pump Here Nursing Room Locator App on the Apple iTunes and Google Play store becoming both a popular breastfeeding baby app and surging mom community website globally. Frustrated nursing moms everywhere immediately showed support by helping the MPH brand grow enormously on social media.

The Moms Pump Here Nursing Room Locator App is Community-Driven: Our app, website and social media platforms help traveling moms Find, Rate, and Share nursing mom-friendly places to express breastmilk (includes stores and shopping malls, airports, parks and recreational arens, theaters and convention centers, schools, museums, work places, hotels, government facilities, colleges and universities, hospitals and health and many more). Every day new moms join our community and share new places to nurse with other moms everywhere. This means our locations are vetted by moms, and revetted by us for safety once they appear on the app. We answer the question, Can I breastfeed or breastpump here?

What Else Do We Do: Moms Pump Here is a health and wellness company. We provide health and wellness information via our Mom Blogs and YouTube Channel.

  1. In response we now provide multiple platforms to answer nursing mom and parenting questions submitted through our website and social media channels.
  2. We offer monthly sponsored giveaways from partnerships formed with brands moms love.

We have a network of nursing mothers rooms, and moms like you, who have breastfed and breastpumped away from home and rated their nursing spots so we all can learn the safe, comfortable places to make milk for our little ones when we can’t be with them.

Are you planning a domestic or international flight round trip and aren't sure which airports have equipped nursing rooms and other breastfeeding frendly amenities? Moms Pump Here quickly find them for you.

Are planning a day trip and aren’t sure which malls or rest stops have private family rooms to allow you to express milk cleanly and discretely? Moms Pump Here quickly find them for you.

Are you a bridesmaid in your kid sister’s wedding and want to know if her catering hall has a big enough suite for the bride and YOUR boobs? Moms Pump Here find and help answer these questions that you won’t find being asked anywhere else – and they’re answered by moms like you!

There's also a check-in feature, don't worry, no one knows where you're breastpumping or feeding when you checkin, only other registered logged in moms you choose to let know where you've checked-in. About Founder Priya Nembhard:

I'm not just a work from home mom, I was a diehard breastfeeder and breast pumper too. Nursing moms don't always have the luxury to breastfeed or breast pump whenever or whereever they want. Moms Pump Here solves this problem by connecting moms to the closest nursing mothers rooms nearby to express breast milk. At the touch of your tablet or smartphone app, we connect you to our vast list of public or private nursing friendly places nearby or around the world for far traveling mamas. Simply use the Nursing Room Locator's GPS and detailed search feature. That's it!

Safety and Privacy

Hear from a mother about her concerns about sharing breast pumping sites:

“I'm a little worried about the privacy factor…personally I would rather tell people where I have already pumped instead of where I am pumping right now -- I feel like it would scare me to think that other people (weird, strange people) may come check on me or feel strange to know that other people know what I am doing and where I am doing it.” ~ Mom of 3

1. No one can see any user activity (both in the social forum or the check-in/location) on the site unless they're logged in to MomsPumpHere.

2. You have the option to make your current check-in not known. The On-Location "Check-in" feature is done manually, so if you'd rather not let others know where you're nursing right "right now", simply do not Check-In.

3. If you do want other logged in moms to know where you're currently breastfeeding or pumping, then you may "Check-In" manually using the MomsPumpere app or mobile site.

4. All users are approved through a vetting process after creating an account. Approved profiles are vetted within 24 hours. Vetting includes review of users name, address, or social media if listed in their profiles. We want moms to feel as safe as possible on MomsPumHere.
