Breastfeeding and breastpumping mothers who prefer a more private space when nursing or expressing breast milk can now find one in Geisinger Medical Center’s (GMC) Women’s Pavilion. The free-standing Mamava lactation station/pod offers nursing mothers a safe, clean and functional private suite.

Moms are still free to breastfeed anywhere in Geisinger, but the new 32-square-foot suite provides a more private option. It has adequate space for breastfeeding and/or pumping and is roomy enough to accommodate additional children. Features include:

• A fold down table to comfortably situate a breast pump


• A power outlet for breast pump


• Space for luggage and/or a stroller


• Food-safe, easily cleaned materials


• Soft lighting and mirror


• Fixture with mirror and clean-up supplies


• Occupied lock, with custom lock options
